Behavior Modification

We offer behavior modification and management options for the following problems:

  • Object / Location / Food guarding issues. 

  • Some types of reactivity.
  • Desensitization and counter-conditioning for fear-related issues.

  • Management and training options for reactive dogs.

  • Muzzle training for bite-risk dogs.

  • Stranger aggression (limited, depends on history).

  • Dog-to-dog aggression. (limited, depends on history).

  • If you are having issues with dog aggression between 2 dogs in the home environment, please read our article on Intra-household inter-dog aggression.

Fees

In-person initial consultation: $150. Initial consults usually last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Behavior modification fees after the initial consult are as follows.

  • 10-session package is $1300. Sessions last about 1 to 2 hours. (If we take your case, your initial consultation fee will be applied to your session package).

  • 15-session package $1800

  • Individual sessions are $175 per session. Consultation fees will not be applied to individual sessions.

 

All appointments must be booked and paid for in advance.

Training Sessions

 

Depending on your dog's specific issues, more lessons may be required to achieve results. Sessions may be held in-home or at our facility or alternate locations depending on your dog's specific issues.

 

No Guarantee Policy


The trainer will make every reasonable effort to help clients achieve training and/or behavior modification goals but will not guarantee results after professional training is completed. Dogs are living beings, therefore no one can ethically guarantee their behavior under all circumstances. There is no way to know that owners will follow through with our recommendations, suggestions, and protocols. If they don't, the behavior may not improve or it may relapse.

 

​We may offer referrals for dog/dog or stranger aggression cases that resulted in the following:

  • Injuries to a person or another animal that had deep puncture wounds or had to be stitched or stapled or caused serve injuries or death. We may be able to offer a referral in these types of cases.

  • We do not take severe separation anxiety cases but may be able to offer a referral.
